Week 12
This week was a great week to understand the importance of
missionary work. My companion and I had the opportunity to go to the temple
with our two converts to do Baptisms for the dead. One of the greatest
experiences is to be on the other side being a witness and watching our
converts do baptisms for the dead. I can see why that´s the ultimate goal to
bring recent converts to the temple, it doesn´t end just by being baptized and
being confirmed a member of the church; our goal is to make more covenants with
our heavenly father and to be able to be part of his work.
Another huge
blessing this past Saturday, our whole zone had the opportunity to set up and
hold a marriage for two couples so that they can be baptized. All together we
had 14 baptisms for our investigators all in one day. The best part of it was
watching each one of them come closer to Christ. Each elder had the opportunity
to baptize one person and honestly it was the best experience we ever had. This
is the true church; Like President Nelson said in General Conference, God is
the definition of Joy, choosing to come unto Christ will always be the joy in a
family.
